Our aims
Chronic pain detracts from physical capacity and reduces enjoyment of life. It dominates every aspect of life, becomes a burden on interpersonal relationships and can ultimately lead to social exclusion.
A recently published American investigation shows that today around 50% of patients with chronic pain are still not receiving proper medical treatment; in Germany 3,000 people a year commit suicide as a consequence of unbearable pain. With systematic pain therapy started at an early stage, many people would be able to enjoy a better quality of life.
The team at the Schmerz Zentrum Zofingen specializes in the treatment of pain. As the field of pain therapy is in a continuous state of flux, we attach great importance to a regular exchange of opinions with colleagues in various disciplines both in Switzerland and abroad who are active in the field.
